Color mixing and making of Hand Painted Glass

To produce yellow color, copper oxide is added to the mixture. To produce blue, cobalt oxide is added. It's also possible to produce black, brown, red, orange. All of our painting is done by hand. As well as conventional colors, we also use special gold and platinum paints to produce pieces with a special appeal. Although the paint is set well, and will not wear in normal use, as hand painted glass is fired to set the paint, we strongly discourage you from using dishwasher.

Traditional Bohemia High Enamel

This is one of our most well-known and traditional techniques. Items contain no lead, they are mouth blown and hand crafted. First, a piece is painted with gold paint. The paint is made of real gold. Then, the pieces are fired at a temperature of 560 degrees Celsius. After the firing, raised paint made from ground-down porcelain and other additives is used. Relief paints, and the shaping of the designs (usually flowers) takes place at this point of making of High enamel. 
After second firing, more relief paints are used to add the final details. After each coat of relief paint, the piece must be fired again. Sometimes the piece has to be fired 4 times to achieve quality high enamel, enamel product.
The colors (Ruby, Cobalt, White, Jade or Black) are beautifully accented by the contrasting depth of the rich enamel on which the raised flowers lie.

Caring For Your Lead Crystal, Hand Painted Glass:

It is not recommended to use a dishwasher.
Wash in lukewarm water using an abrasive-free detergent.
Dry with soft cloth immediately after washing.
Do not rotate the cup counter to the stem when polishing.
Keep in a dry place.
The gray coating, which may occur when the product  is not frequently used can be wiped off with a linen cloth.
Handle very carefully to prevent any damage.
